Secondary School Placement

Our students are accepted into the country's most competitive public and private high schools, and many have gone on to the nation's top universities. St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's graduates are eagerly sought because of their fine character and the quality of their academic preparation.

Secondary school selection is a careful process that begins in the spring of seventh grade. Our head of school and director of secondary school placement work closely with parents and children to find the best match possible between student and school, encouraging families to consider many different options. In 2016, 51 percent of the class chose to attend an independent day school, while 40 percent chose to attend boarding school.
