Buddy Dzina ’14 spent this summer at West Point, enduring “Beast Barracks,” which constitutes his Cadet Basic Training prior to his first year there.

“Brutal would be an understatement,” shared his mother, Lucy Dzina, P ’12, ’14, ’17. But he survived, ‘slayed the Beast,’ and at times even called it fun.”

Richard ”Buddy” Dzina ’14 spent this summer at West Point, the United States Military Academy, enduring “Beast Barracks,” which constitutes his Cadet Basic Training prior to his freshman year there.

“Brutal would be an understatement,” shared his mother, Lucy Dzina, P ’12, ’14, ’17. But he survived, ‘slayed the Beast,’ and at times even called it fun.”

Buddy will spend his undergraduate years at West Point and, after graduating, will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army, serving for five years on active duty. 

Buddy is also a graduate of Poly Prep Country Day School.
