Our mission to serve children and families extends beyond the regular school day. Our Extended Day Programs are essential components of the support and service we provide to the families of St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s in the hopes of making their lives easier and our students happier, healthier, and more knowledgeable. Extended Day Programs consist of three distinct parts:
- After School
- Enrichment and Dynamic Athletics
- Music Lesson Packages
The mission of the After School is to serve children and families whose needs extend beyond the regular school day, bridging the gap between school and home. Our dedicated After School counselors provide caring supervision and facilitate activities, nutritious snacks, and playtime. For students in first grade and up, structured homework support is an added component of the program.
Any currently enrolled child in nursery or older can utilize the After School program; registration in advance is not required. After School is available post dismissal (2:50 p.m. on, depending upon grade level) until 6:00 p.m., and students may join on any day, before and after Enrichment Courses or Music Lessons.
Enrichment and Dynamic Athletics
Enrichment and Dynamic Athletics classes take place after regular school hours, and they offer our students the opportunity to try something new, pursue their interests, and develop their talents further. Our classes are creative, educational, and fun extensions of the school day and allow children to expand their circle of friends by working and playing with students in other classes. Members of our own faculty, as well as teachers and coaches from other organizations in the city, comprise our dedicated team of instructors.
Music Lesson Packages
Music Lesson packages offer our students the opportunity to learn various instruments and develop skills from professional musicians and composers who perform in New York City and around the world.
